One of the downfalls of the build quality of the Voigtlander Bessa R2a are the rubber grips. The grips are one of the best part of the camera. They're crazy comfortable and secure the camera to your hands when you're holding it. However, because they are made out of rubber, they expand with heat. After more than a year of owning the Bessa R2A, the rubber grips began to come off.
I purchased three sets of leather online to replace the rubber on my Bessa, and they finally came in today! I was eager to replace the leaver, but I made sure to record the process.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. If I could buy a set or rubber grips, I would. The original grips feel a lot better, but these will suffice. Plus, I like that my camera is now personalized.
