I recently started a new vlogging channel, and I wanted to invest in some equipment specifically for it. I did a lot of research to figure out what type of camera would fit my needs best, and ended up settling on a GoPro Hero 6, and some accompanying accessories.
The video above explains my reasoning for choosing each piece of equipment in my new vlogging rig.
Why a GoPro?
I'm sure a lot of you are curious as to why I chose the GoPro for vlogging. I've seen some people use them for vlogging, but the more popular choices seem to be the Canon G7x or the Sony RX100 series cameras.
To me, the GoPro just felt like the most hassle free option out of everything that I looked at. It's got a super wide angle lens that'll surely get everything I want in frame. The depth of field is deep enough that I never need to worry about being out of focus. It's rugged and can be used in different environments. When used barebones, it's very light and compact. It just feels easy, and that's what I was after.
